18 January - Centenary Open Day

The Liston Tennis Club is proud to celebrate 100 years of tennis, community, and friendship, and we invite everyone to join us for our Centenary Open Day on Sunday, 18 January, from 2:00pm.

This special afternoon is all about celebrating our past, enjoying the present, and welcoming the future of the club. Whether you’re a current or former member, a local family, or someone who has always wanted to see what our club is about, everyone is welcome.

What’s On

There will be plenty to enjoy for all ages, including:

Social Tennis – jump on court and have a hit

Pickleball – try this fast-growing and fun sport

Kids’ activities with our amazing W&W Tennis Coaching team

Radar gun challenge – find out the speed of your serve

Liston Tennis Club merchandise, including special centenary items

Sausage sizzle

Raffle and Guess the Number of Tennis Balls competition

There will be great prizes to be won, including one year of free membership to the Liston Tennis Club.

28 January - Training session for AO-Blind & Low Vision Showdown

Liston Tennis Club is excited to be the venue hosting the training session before the AO Showdown between Team Australia and Team World as they gear up for the very first Australian Open BLV Showdown — where the world’s best blind and low vision tennis players come together to make history.

Join us on the 28th January -
• 2pm–4pm: Watch Team Australia and Team World train on court
• 4pm–5pm: Free BLV Tennis Come and Try session — all skill levels welcome!

Hosted by BSRV and W&W Tennis, this is your chance to see elite athletes in action, cheer them on as they train, and even grab a racquet yourself!

23 May - Trivia Night

As part of our 100-year centenary celebrations, Liston Tennis Club is hosting a special Trivia Night – 100 Questions to Celebrate 100 Years of the Liston Tennis Club on Saturday, 23 May, hosted by Geoff Swanton.

This milestone event promises to be a fantastic evening for members and friends alike. Guests are encouraged to gather their teams and get ready for a night of engaging questions, plenty of laughs, and friendly competition. It’s also a great opportunity to meet new people and connect with the wider club community in a relaxed and social setting.

Whether you’re a trivia enthusiast or just in it for the fun, the evening is set to be a memorable highlight in Liston’s centenary calendar. Click HERE to book your spot!

2-4 Oct - Club Championships

The Liston Tennis Club Championships promises to be an action-packed weekend of tennis and a wonderful time for our tennis community to come together, get out on the court, have fun and meet a few of your fellow club members.

An email will be sent once registrations open.

All members are welcome and encouraged to register.

November - AGM

Liston Tennis Club invites all members to the 2026 Annual General Meeting.

Time: 08:00 pm

Location: Liston Tennis Club Clubrooms

Annual reports from office bearers and financial statements will be presented. All office bearer and committee member positions will become vacant.

We are seeking nominations from our members for the general committee.

If you are interested in filling a position, please contact the club administrator for a nomination form.

We look forward to seeing you at the AGM.
