In 2008, the Kiewa & Talgarno Districts Tennis Association was formed as a merger between the Kiewa & District Tennis Association and the Talgarno & District Tennis Association.

The annual Junior Tournament has been going on since the commencement of the Association and has always been exceptionally well attended.

In 2019, the tournament was renamed the McKimmie Junior Tournament in memory of Nick McKimmie, who devoted so much time and effort to junior tennis in our Association. Nick had a passion for tennis and loved to see young people playing and enjoying the sport. 

Nick introduced the two junior sections and was instrumental in introducing singles into section 3 to teach the juniors to learn to play the whole court.
