Fundraising - Lights

The Epping Tennis club are doing everything we can to raise money to upgrade our lights.
Last weekend we held a Bunnings barbecue at Epping. This was very successful raising approximately $2,000.00. We also had the support of some of our local business’s which kept our expenses at a minimum.
A big thank you to our Committee of Volunteers who worked tirelessly on the day to make it a success.
Thank you to the following local business’s

We continue to have funds deposited to our fundraising page and the collection of cans and bottles is only increasing our income

Let’s Challenge Tournament

The club will again be holding the Lets Challenge Tournament over the weekend 20th, 21st and 22nd of February. This is always a great event and often has players from other clubs participating. Please use the QR code to register.

100 Year Celebration
Our club turns 100 this year and to mark this special occasion we will be holding an open day on Sunday 22nd March from 11.00am – 4.00pm.  This event is open to past members or those that have had an association with Epping tennis club over the years. We welcome all our current members to come along, meet some of the older Epping Tennis club players and have a great day of tennis. Come dressed to get out and have a hit. You may like to dress in the gear that was popular when you started playing tennis or take yourself back to the 1920’s and arrive in style. Please use the QR code to register.

Fair Access

All clubs within the city of Whittlesea are required to comply with the Fair Access Policy. Noncompliance will result in inability for government support or Council-provided benefits.

At Epping two of our committee Marg and Lynn have been working with City of Whittlesea to ensure that we meet these standards. They have attended meetings to explore and learn ways we can continue to work with council to achieve the Fair Access policies.

We now have a fair Access Pledge: Commitment to gender equity within local community sport. This is available on our website on our governance page. The club will be going through an audit process in April. If available, we would like some of our members to attend. Further information will be provided closer to the date.

Public Open Space Plan
Consultation for the draft Public Open Space plan is open until 15 February 2026.
Council has drafted the Public Open Space Plan 2026-2036, informed by community engagement, stakeholder workshops, and meetings.
The draft Public Open Space Plan sets the vision of how open spaces like parks, trails, reserves, waterways and more will improve and grow over the next 10 years.
Council is now sharing consultation details with community who live, work and play in the City of Whittlesea.
How can community provide feedback?

More information about the draft plan can be found on our Engage City of Whittlesea platform Draft Public Open Space Plan 2026-2036 | Engage City of Whittlesea or alternatively you can download the full draft Public Open Space Plan.
