Club Rules

COURT USAGE AND CARE

  • Please ensure courts are booked online before play.

  • At the end of your booking time, the court should be vacated. If there is no subsequent booking, members are welcome to continue playing until the next booking begins.

  • After play, please sweep the courts using the bags provided.

  • To help prevent injury and protect the courts, please secure the netting between courts (on either side of the centre light poles) to the centre light pole when you finish play.

  • Dogs are not permitted on the courts at any time. If dogs are brought to the club, they must be tied up outside the court area.

FOOTWEAR & CLOTHING

  • For everyone’s safety and to protect the court surface, appropriate tennis shoes must be worn. Running shoes, bare feet, and thongs are not permitted.

  • Players are required to wear shirts. Singlets, jeans, and bathers are not permitted.

COURT ETIQUETTE

  • We ask all players to be courteous and considerate of others.

  • Refrain from unsporting behaviour, including racquet or ball abuse

  • Keep noise and language at a level that does not disturb or offend others

  • Return balls that enter your court when safe to do so

  • Avoid entering another court while play is in progress

  • Use the correct gate to prevent walking across other courts

FIRST AID & EMERGENCIES

  • A First Aid kit and ice pack are available in the clubhouse and the Ladies’ bathroom.

  • A defibrillator is located on the wall outside the women’s bathroom.

SECURITY & CLUBHOUSE USE

  • Please ensure the pedestrian entry gate is kept closed and closed behind you when entering or leaving the courts.

  • Clubhouse keys are issued to Committee members, the Coach, and Team Captains only.

  • When a member holding a Master key is present, other members may request access to the clubhouse.

  • Bathrooms should be left unlocked, with doors closed.

  • If you are the last to leave, please ensure the clubhouse (if open) is secured, the door is closed, and the alarm is set.

VISITORS

  • Members are welcome to bring visitors to play at the club. Visitor fees must be paid by EFT (BSB: 633000, Account: 109892109).

  • Visitor fees are $5 per hour for adults and $2 per hour for students under 23.

  • Unauthorised visitors are not permitted on the courts.

  • Visitors are expected to follow all club rules. Inappropriate behaviour may result in refusal of future entry. Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests.

  • Any member may politely ask the name of another member or visitor.

  • Members are encouraged to invite visitors during quieter periods.

  • Members always have priority over visitors.

ENFORCEMENT OF RULES

  • All members are welcome to help uphold club rules and are asked to do so politely and respectfully.

  • If a dispute arises, please contact a Committee member as soon as possible. Names and contact details are available on the website.
