Using the Match Centre Scorecard
Your match will appear on your home page in Match Centre under the heading ‘To Do’. Once the start time of your game has passed (e.g. you will need to wait until 1:30pm if your game is scheduled to start at 1:30pm), you will be able to select “Enter Score”. Click on this to enter players and scores.
Entering players
1. Select ‘Match Status’ – Played.
2. As sets are completed, select ‘Complete’.
3. Enter players from the drop down list. If you enter player 1 in the top box and player 2 in the second box, it will prefill correctly for later sets. You can manually change the players in mixed depending on how you pair people.
4. Players that have been entered for your team previously will appear in this list. If the player is not in the list, use:
A) Unspecified Player – If you cannot find an opposition player in the drop down list, the opposition will be able to update these player names later if appropriate. OR Someone has not registered through Match Centre and/or Activated their UTR, if you want a record of who this player is, you can add their name as a comment at the bottom of the score card. See Player Registration for how to register a player.
B) ADD NEW PLAYER – If a person has registered through Match Centre and Activated their UTR. Note - when you click add new player, the pop up box to 'find a player' may appear at the top of the page (not nesesarily in view on your screen), on your phone you may need to navigate to the top of the page to find the pop up box.
Adding a new player
5. Find the player by searching by their Tennis ID (easier) or entering their name and gender (harder, especially for more common names).
6. Select the player from the results displayed. The different lists can be expanded to view player options.
7. View the player's information to check that it’s the correct person (especially if you searched by name/gender). If the last competition played was on the other side of Victoria, they may be the wrong person.
8. Select the player type e.g. base player or fill-in, and confirm.
Adding scores
6 is the maximum set score, so tie breakers happen at 5-5. If you enter the smaller number first, the 6 will prefil.
Saving and Submitting
Once you select that a set is complete and start to enter players, you will not be able to save your updates until you enter all the details for that set including scores.
Check what you have entered with the opposing team before submitting to minimise the need for changes.
Once submitted, the opposing captain will then be able to check and update any player details that are incorrect. If the scores are correct they can confirm the score card, or challenge if there is an error.
