Junior & Open Competition will return next Saturday 6th November

PTA are excited to announce we have received notification from Tennis Victoria that competition tennis can return.

The Summer season for Juniors and Open will commence next Saturday 6th November with round 4 as per the fixture.

Competition tennis can be played for the minimum number required (singles and doubles play permitted) at indoor and outdoor facilities regardless of vaccination status, so players do not need to provide vaccination certificates to play.

However some venues that have additional facilities like canteens, cafes, bars, pro-shops etc DO require patrons to be double vaccinated to enter the clubrooms or use these facilities. Covid Marshals will be in attendance at these venues to check vaccination status.
Toilets are excepted.

Clubrooms can be open and operate without vaccination status requirements IF they operate solely for the purpose of community sport. ie those that do not have cafes, canteens etc.

All venues / clubs are required to have up to date and accessible COVIDSafe plans.

Spectators are permitted subject to public gathering limits in the Stay Safe Directions No.28, in groups of no more than 30 (multiple groups must be spaced out).

All players and spectators must use the QR codes to check in at the venues.
