Get Court Up

Tennis is a sport everyone can enjoy, and it's easy to play at Donald McLean Reserve. We encourage you to book a court, grab a racquet and have a hit with your family and friends.

When you book a court online we'll send you a PIN to access the court/s you have booked. Please note your booking PIN code will take 30 minutes to activate after you have made your booking online. Please book at least 30 minutes prior to the time you want to access the courts

Shared Use

These courts are multi-lined and multi-purpose tennis and netball courts. Netball club activities may take place. It is the responsibility of the netball clubs and bookings to transition the courts from tennis to netball and from netball to tennis.

Please note, all club bookings of the courts will incur a fee. If you would like to book the netball courts, please contact Jasmin Harrison at jharrison@hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au.

Book A Court

1. All court bookings must be made through the Book A Court system for both netball and tennis use.

2. All free public access tennis usage must be booked through the Book A Court System. Bookings will have precedence over walk ins.

3. Bookings in the evening when the light sensor indicates low level of visibility or night bookings will incur a light fee.

4. Lights will automatically turn on for evening/night bookings once an active pin is entered into the pin pad.

5. Your booking pin will only be active during an active booking via the system.

General Etiquette

1. Take all your rubbish with you off the court and leave the court in a presentable manner for the next booking.

2. Stick to your booking times.

3. If you are waiting for your booking, wait off the court.

4. To retrieve a ball from the other court or to return a ball to other court, wait until the players have completed a point.

You may also be exposed to the possibility of contracting an illness, including without limitation the COVID-19 virus. The COVID-19 virus can spread very quickly and result in very serious medical complications in some people. You agree that the use of the tennis courts is entirely at your own risk. You have read and understood this risk warning and voluntarily accept and assume the inherent risks in use of the tennis courts and playing tennis.

Return to Tennis Guidelines:

As per the Stay at Home Directions recreational tennis (Book a court / casual court hire):

• Singles play can return for two people for participants who are not fully vaccinated.

• Doubles play can return for four people from no more than two households for fully vaccinated participants. Participants must carry proof of vaccination and may be required to show this to an authorised officer at any time.

You must consider your individual situation, noting that the COVID- 19 virus can spread quickly and result in very serious medical complications in some people. Access to the Venue is provided on the basis that you will, at all times while at the Venue, adhere to the above directions and to State Governments Stay at Home Directions. We appreciate your cooperation in working together to make tennis as safe as possible for everyone. We recommend that players should bring a glove or plastic bag to protect their hands when using the Pin Pad at the gate for entry. Please avoid touching surfaces when inside the entry gate.
