MEMBERSHIP OR CASUAL HIRE?

So, is it more economical to casually hire the courts or commit to a membership? The answer hinges on your playing frequency and preferred time slots. For those who anticipate regular play, a membership undoubtedly offers the best value, with competitive rates that remain wallet-friendly.

LIGHTING

Once you've secured your yearly membership, your expenses are essentially covered, with the exception of the modest fee for court lighting. Members enjoy a discounted rate of $10 per hour for lighting, with the added bonus of not needing lights until after 7:30 pm for much of the summer season. Come winter, the fee applies from 6 pm, aligning with Melbourne's sunset times.

PLAYING WITH OTHERS

It's essential to note that membership requires playing with another member or joining someone else concurrently. When opting for casual court hire, you have the flexibility to invite as many players as you please for doubles or singles matches, with the hourly rate remaining constant regardless of attendance.
