SEASONAL UPDATE - Spring News

Throughout the winter months our tennis courts have continued to be busy.

Coaching on Sundays: Our army of keen tennis players of all ages have successfully

supported the introduction of payments for the coaching sessions with Mike. We

have gathered a few new subscribers and kept most of our original players. Our

photos illustrate the active involvement of our parents, especially with the youngest

learners. There are also lots of opportunities for fun and socialisation between

lessons.

We are offering 6 sessions per term, with term 4 sessions starting on October 26 th .

Bookings are open now for term 4. Anyone interested in signing on for coaching is

encouraged to navigate this website, click on “programs” tab and

select from:

  • Fun and Skills and Fitness for Adults.
  • Tennis Taster for Tiny Tots
  • Fun and Skills for 5-8 year olds
  • Fun and Skills for kids over 8 years old.

Child Safety Policy

We are committed to providing a safe and friendly environment for children. All

committee members and adults who are providing voluntary support during

coaching and social sessions are required to provide a current Working With Children

Check (WWCC) to our club. Further details are on the website.

Social tennis:

o 1 st Sunday of the month continues to be our regular time for a social hit,

starting at 9.30. Morning tea is provided before the adult coaching sessions

start.

o Adults are also encouraged to come along before the 11am Sunday coaching

sessions to warm up and have an extra hit – starting from 10.00am.

District Ladies Tennis: Ladies are welcome to join in social tennis every Thursday

morning. We have some dedicated regular players, but we are always welcoming of

newcomers. Contact Robyn (0401 552 682) or Judy (0488 526 588) if you would like

to join in.

New arrangement for access to tennis equipment: The club has purchased a variety

of balls to be used in coaching sessions and some mid-quality racquets. These and a

few other valuable items will now be stored in a locked cupboard. Community

groups who wish to use the tennis equipment can contact the club via the website

and pay a small fee.

Booking courts: The courts are available to be booked for free by just hopping on the

Clifton Creek Tennis Club website as part of play.tennis.com.au

Thanks to all our tennis players and our amazing coach, Mike, who continue to ensure that

Clifton Creek Tennis Club is a vibrant and friendly place to be.
