Child Safety

The committee at Clifton Creek Tennis Club strives to create a child safe and child friendly environment.

In 2023 we adopted the Tennis Australia Member Protection Policy (to protect the health, safety and well-being of everyone participating in Australian tennis programs, activities, events or services)  and Safeguarding Children Code of Conduct (ensuring the safety and well-being of children is a priority.)

Committee member Sandra Dalton is our Member Protection Information Officer, a role dedicated to ensuring the safety of children.

…”It is about building an environment that is both child safe and child friendly and which children and young people feel respected, valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Protecting children and young people is everyone’s responsibility, and together we can make sure they feel safe, supported and able to thrive within the sport of tennis”

It is the expectation of Tennis Victoria, that all committee members, coaches and volunteers have a valid Working With Children Check. We are thankful to parents who assist both on and off the tennis courts. Providing your WWCC when you join is much appreciated.
