Coaching staff

We have some of the most experienced tennis coaches in Geelong.  All our coaches are passionate about tennis and about passing on their knowledge and experience to make sure you get the most benefit out of your time on court. 

Head Coach - Matthew Hicks

Matt is one of Geelong's most experienced and dedicated tennis coaches. He spends more time on the court than off and thoroughly enjoys passing on his knowledge to players of all ages and abilities. Matt has experience coaching regional and state teams.

  • Tennis Australia Accredited coach
  • Former Geelong No 1 player for 9 years.
  • Previously held a World ranking.
  • Currently holds an Australian ranking.
  • Qualified Cardio Tennis instructor.

Assistant Coach - Carolyn McGann

Carolyn has fantastic experience both playing and coaching. Carolyn has a brilliant nature with her clients.

  • Winner of many Victorian country titles in singles, doubles and mixed doubles

Assistant Coach - David Hicks

David boasts 43 years coaching experience and has coached hundreds of Geelong’s best players across that time.

  • Titles include singles, doubles and mixed (partner Kathy Hicks).
  

Assistant Coach – Jayde Glascott

Jayde has significant coaching experience with a broad range of players of all ages. Jayde is well equipped to provide you a fantastic coaching experience.
