In commenting about the amenity to be afforded by the new facility Club President, Keith Bender said: "The combined new tennis clubhouse and meeting space will provide a comfortable, relaxed and safe environment for players and visitors alike. Students from Bungendore High, who continue to use the tennis courts for their weekly sporting activity, will be able to use the new onsite toilet, addressing student safety and welfare.

As well as providing the amenity that could be expected from a clubhouse, the new facility will also serve as a meeting place for other local clubs and groups. When we wrote to other local sporting clubs a while ago seeking letters of support for the project, the clubs told us about the general shortage of meeting places in Bungendore."
