Bulleen Tennis Club is seeking nominations for Committee Positions for the upcoming year.  All committee positions will be declared vacant at the AGM as per the constitution.

We hope that you are all enjoying a lot of improvements to our Club the last 10 months and there are much more to come.  We are a new management Team and a supportive group with an ambitious plan to revive our Club. Club Committee Positions

Role descriptions

Vice treasurer

This year is the last one that our long-standing Treasurer Allan Nash will be holding this position. In order to plan for a smooth transition, we are looking for a person who would like to take over this position in the future. This is an interim position and this year this person will work with and facilitate our Treasurer in his responsibilities and get onboarded to the role so he/she can take over the position of Treasurer the following year.  

This important position is meant for someone with an accounting background, strong financial and commercial acumen, and attention to detail.  

Sponsorship & Grants Officer

This person will take over responsibilities to manage major sponsorships that are already underway with NE Link and Bendigo Bank. Also, this person will be responsible to build a list of our Club sponsorable assets and create sponsorship packages to attract new sponsors and retain existing. Last, the person will be monitoring Grants opportunity (State, Tennis Australia & Victoria, Local Council etc) arising and manage the application process.

For this important position, and we are looking for a person with a Commercial background, experienced in stakeholder management, strategic planning, and execution.  

Social Media & Communication Officer 

This person will be responsible for the overall club communication strategy, coordinating the set up and ongoing management of our social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, Google etc) and the optimisation of our online presence via SEO, engaging and working with an external provider.

This position is perfect for an undergraduate or graduate in Media and Communications or relevant disciplines, wanting to gain experience in defining and leading an organisation media strategy, budget handling, etc.. Perfect opportunity for their contributions to be included in their CV and obtain a recommendation letter from our Club.

Club Legalities Officer 

This person will be responsible for managing the legalities (contracts, lease agreements etc) of our Club. Importantly, he/she will be leading the effort to update the legal framework of our club, bringing the Constitution, By Laws and overall Governance up to speed and in line with the current legal requirements.

This position is perfect for an undergraduate or graduate in Law or relevant disciplines, wanting to gain experience in organisation governance. Perfect opportunity for their contributions to be included in their CV and obtain a recommendation letter from our Club. Also applicable to experienced Legal Officers who want to contribute to the community as volunteers.
