The Broken Hill Tennis Association is more than happy to offer our 10 synthetic grass courts to you, every day of the year. A social hit, a competitive exhibition, something in between – we’ve got you covered. With coaching (individual or group) available at a long-standing establishment rich in history in a heritage town, we look forward to seeing you on court under the Far West sky!

Booking a court

Courts are available for hire year-round. Whether you’re looking to book a regular hit, host a friendly match, or plan a tennis-themed event, we’ve got flexible hire options to suit your needs. We welcome casual users as well as groups and visiting players. Simply Book A Court  online and you will receive a pin code to use at the entry gate and simple instructions to follow.

Nestled in the heart of the Far West, the Broken Hill Tennis Association has proudly served the local community for generations. With a long-standing passion for the game, we offer a vibrant and inclusive environment for players of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're picking up a racquet for the first time or you’ve been playing for years, you'll find a warm and welcoming tennis community here in the Silver City.

The Association is a part of the O’Neil Sporting Complex on Wolfram Street, just off Iodide Street, tucked between the city’s newly refurbished netball courts and the Norm Fox Oval. We have ten synthetic grass courts which provide a bounce to that of a clay/hard court hybrid. The courts are illuminated by top-grade LED light towers, so once you take in a breathtaking Broken Hill sunset, you can keep on playing. With canteen and bar facilities indoors and an outdoor barbecue set-up out the back, it’s perfect for entertaining into the evening. If you simply need a place for your next function, a Christmas party, work social, trivia night - our Association building is also available for function hire. Give one of our committee members a buzz to get the ball rolling. 

Broken Hill’s Club Championships are held annually in Spring time, featuring both singles and doubles competitions across multiple grades. Wednesday night Division One men and ladies and Thursday night Open A competitions run through separate Spring and Summer competitions, with a sole Wednesday night mixed competition held across Winter. Our Junior Tennis takes place of Saturday mornings, all year round. Don't forget you can Book a Court for a hit anytime!
