At Blackhead Tennis Club, our coaching is led by Greg Billingham, an accredited Tennis Australia coach since 1981. Greg brings decades of experience coaching across Newcastle, Taree and the Hunter Valley. With degrees in Teaching and Personal Development, Health & Physical Education, Greg combines technical expertise with an engaging, player-focused teaching style.

What Greg Offers 

Greg delivers coaching for juniors, offering both group classes and private tuition. His programs cater for players who are new to the game through to those preparing for competition.

Hot Shots Coaching (Ages 3–10+)

As a qualified Tennis Australia Hot Shots provider, Greg runs the full developmental pathway:

• Blue Stage
• Red Stage
• Orange Stage
• Green Stage

These sessions offer a fun, modified format that builds confidence, coordination and tennis fundamentals for young players.

Term Coaching Schedule

Mondays - Junior Group Classes (Hot Shots)

• 5-8 years 🕓 4:00–4:30pm
• 7-10 years 🕓 4:30–5:00pm
• 10+ years 🕓 5:00–5:30pm

Private Coaching

Private tennis tuition is available and sessions can be booked in before or after Hot Shots coaching.
