New Court Booking System and Member Data Security
Sun, 02 Mar 2025 00:00

Dear Members,
We’re thrilled to see the growing activity at the club, with Membership, Competition and Social Tennis expanding massively as a reflection of the vibrant community we’re building together.
With this significant growth, so too has the usage of our courts. To ensure courts are available for all Members and to enhance the security of your data, we’ve upgraded to a new Club Management System called ClubSpark, which is managed by Tennis Australia.
Additionally, due to increased activity around the club and the introduction of the new system, we’re now changing how Members access the club. Please ensure you read the information below because the front gate locks will be changed on Sunday 2nd of March at 5PM.
* See below for essential information and the required steps to gain access to the club *
Register with ClubSpark
Members will soon receive an email invitation from ClubSpark to register an account. This registration is essential to access ClubSpark to book a court and gain entry to the club.
The club has already entered your Membership details into ClubSpark. Once you receive the email, follow the registration process, create a password and then accept the invitation. There will be no associated costs when registering.
Court bookings are now required to ensure you secure a court
After registering, you will be able to view court availability and Book a Court outside coaching, competition and social tennis hours.
Bookings for Members are completely FREE during the day.
Once you make a booking, you will be provided with a code to enter on the black Iglooworks digital lock. This will be emailed to you. Please ensure you enter your code then hit the lock symbol. You can choose to receive the code via SMS when making a booking. To read more about club access, Click Here.
If you already have an account with ClubSpark, you can book courts immediately by Signing In.
Those with existing digital codes can still use those codes. However, we suggest booking a court to guarantee availability of a court.
Gold Key Lock will now be removed on Sunday 2nd March at 5PM
From 5PM on Sunday the 2nd of March, Members will now only see the one lock on the gate. The gold key lock will now be removed and only the black Iglooworks digital lock will be used. This will now avoid confusion and incorrect locking. We often receive calls that Members cannot access the courts due to the dual-lock system being attached incorrectly.
If you currently use a Member’s Key on the front gate, please ensure you have registered an account by 5PM on Sunday the 2nd of March to access the club.
Any Members with a Club Key can return the key to be refunded the $30 key deposit.
Please contact membership@banyuletennis.net.au to arrange a time to return the key.
Secure Member Data Storage
Our new system improves the way we securely manage and store Member data, giving you peace of mind about your privacy. If you have any concerns, please contact membership@banyuletennis.net.au and we can have a discussion with you about your data.
Why Registering is Important
You will not be able to book a court if you do not register an account with ClubSpark. Booking a court is now required to ensure you secure a court. Members who do not book in advance may risk courts being unavailable.
Night Tennis Bookings
If you wish to play at night, please follow the regular process and email membership@banyuletennis.net.au to make a booking to use the lights. A charge of $10 will apply.
Membership Renewals Streamlined
All renewal invoices will now also be processed through ClubSpark, making it easier to manage your membership and stay up to date with payments.
Senior Social Group
The Senior Social Group will continue the regular process of playing on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday mornings. The club will ensure courts remain available and pre-booked for the senior group. The provided regular code will also remain for the senior group.
Competition Teams
Competition teams will continue to use the codes provided to captains. The club will ensure courts remain available and pre-booked for all competitions including Tuesday mornings, Tuesday evenings, Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
We believe this change will make your tennis experience at Banyule Tennis Club even better, providing transparency, convenience, and enhanced security for all Members. Please keep an eye on your inbox for the ClubSpark invitation and register as soon as you can.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to improve our club for everyone.
