All members of AUCTC are eligible to join Weekend Competition teams.

Summer (Terms 4 & 1) and Winter (Terms 2 & 3) competitions are played in the Waverley & District Tennis Association on Saturday afternoons starting at 1pm.

Format of Play:

Singles/Doubles: 

• Two to four players per team
• Matches comprise 2 singles rubbers and 1 doubles rubber (all best of 3 sets)
• May use substitute player in singles or doubles
• Open sections

Rubbers: 

• Four players per team
• Matches comprise 4 doubles rubbers. All rubbers best of 2 sets, match tiebreaker played to decide rubber
• Mens and Mixed sections

Competition is for 14 weeks duration plus a final series. All matches are home and away with approximately half the matches played at Ashburton and the rest at opposition clubs. 

Teams are selected based on playing ability, commitment, and team balance. 

There is a competition cost per season for each player.
