In 2020 the Club created a competition for its members with the finals conducted as part of the annual Xmas BBQ and tennis event.  The competition is open to all members and is initially divided into doubles and singles with no initial gender requirement.  Both singles and doubles are played in round robin groups.  After round robins are completed the best performed open and female singles and open doubles teams progress through a knock out process to the finals.    In addition if the numbers permits the best placed junior and senior singles, plus the best placed senior, mixed and female doubles teams also progress through a knock out process to the finals.  The 2020 competition did not attract sufficient numbers across all divisions, but this improved in 2021 with players/team entering six of the eight divisions.

The 2021 Cups however, were not completed till almost mid 2022 due to players being unavailable for weeks at a time due to the ability to travel after the COVID lockdowns had made travel almost impossible since 2020.  In addition, we used the Tennis ACT Match Centre software to try and improve the process for managing the various Cups.  This turned out to be more difficult than anticipated so we looked for an alternative system.  We discovered an App created by a Dutch company called Scala Sports  and after reviewing hown it operates, we signed up to run two Cups over a two month period to test how effectiove the App is. The App worked brilliantly and in October we commenced a six man Men's Open Singles round robin competition and a four women Women's Opwen Singles round robin competition. The managed the nomination process, reminding players who they had to play and provided a simple system for uploading results.  And you can see the results below.
