Yamala Park Tennis Club is a small ,family-friendly club located in Frankston South, Victoria. We have four well maintained tennis courts and cater to social and competition tennis players at all levels.
History
In 1961 a small group of locals approached the Frankston City Council with a view to forming a tennis club in the Baden Powell area to service the local community. Permission was subsequently granted by Council for the construction of a single court together with funding to the tune of $2 for every $1 raised by the club.
Within a 2-year period, an additional 3 courts were added to our site, together with the construction of the current clubhouse that was erected with the hands of our members.
The club has been a successful part of the Peninsula Tennis Association for many years and its competition teams have achieved a good deal of success in both its junior & senior ranks and remains one of the most respected clubs on the Mornington Peninsula.
We are a registered Tennis Victoria Affiliate and a member of the Peninsula Tennis Association.
Club House
The Yamala Park Club House has a kitchen and toilet facilities. We also have a barbecue available for social days. Animals are not permitted inside the premises and a strict no-smoking policy is enforced. Members and visitors are reminded to ensure all rubbish is disposed of correctly and that the clubhouse is left in a clean and tidy state after use.
