Thursday Twilight - Mixed

COMPETITION DETAILS

  • 2 comps are held over the Summer months.  From October to mid-December.  Then late January/early February to March/April - about 9 weeks in each period.  All teams play in the last finals week.
  • This is a graded, mixed competition with 2 men and 2 women per team
  • Matches are played on the grass courts
  • Play commences at 5.30pm
  • Coordinators will be set up and ready earlier to receive fees as players arrive.  Members = $10 and Non-Members = $20
  • 2 courts are allocated for each match and new balls are provided
  • Each player will play 3 sets of tennis - first to 6 games, tie break at 5 all, sudden death deuce
  • Matches consist of 1 men's doubles, 1 women's doubles and 2 mixed doubles
  • BBQ available and Bar open each week with discounted drink prices for Members
  • Cash or EFTPOS available

Explanation of Sudden Death Deuce:

  • If the score reaches deuce, it’s a sudden death point.
  • Women's or Men's Doubles: The receiving pair decides who will receive the serve.
  • Mixed Doubles: A player of the same gender as the server shall receive the serve ie. if a male serves, a male player receives; if a female serves, a female player receives.
  • The receiving pair cannot change positions.
