Sunshine Park Tennis Club

A tennis club for all to enjoy in a shared friendly environment

History

Established in 1955 to service the community of Sunshine.  Sunshine Park quickly grew to become one of the dominant clubs of Melbourne’s west.  Its popularity was enhanced by Australian and French Open winner Mervyn Rose Joining the club at the end of his playing days and taking on the role of Club coach.

The clubs growth continued into the 1980’s through strong membership and leadership.

Today the club again finds itself as the dominant club in Sunshine with over 100 members and 18 competition teams and coaching six days of the week.  With 6 courts four of which are available for night use Sunshine Park is a vibrant active tennis club.

In the Summer of 2016-17 Sunshine Park succeeded in winning The Section 1 WRTA Junior premiership.  A feat not achieved for over 30 years!!!

2021 we are back on court despite Covid 19.  Welcome back to all our members and welcome to all those who are taking advantage of Book a Court.

2021 to present all junior and senior activities are back in full action. 

New clubroom development is expected to commence in 2026-27
