Club Code of Conduct

Overview

All members, players, parents, committee members, coaches, guests and representatives of the Point Cook Tennis Club.of Point Cook Tennis Club [“the Club”] are bound by this Code of Conduct as a condition of their club membership.  Members have a responsibility when playing at or representing the Club to conduct themselves in an appropriate and professional manner, consistent with the code of conduct below. 

General Code of Conduct

  1. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of fellow members, players, coaches, committee members regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion. 
  2. Abusive language, aggressive behaviour, any form of abuse or bullying and any form of harassment towards or discrimination of others will not be tolerated.
  3. Please respect the clubhouse, courts and surrounding grounds and treat the club’s facilities as if they were part of your own home. 
  4. Be fair, considerate and honest in all dealing with others
  5. Be professional in, and accept responsibility for your actions
  6. Make a commitment to providing quality service
  7. Demonstrate a high degree of individual responsibility especially when dealing with persons under 18 years of age, as your words and actions are an example
  8. Be aware of, and maintain an uncompromising adhesion to Tennis Australia standards, rules regulations and policies
  9. Operate within the rules of tennis including national and international guidelines which govern Tennis Australia and the Member Associations
  10. Understand your responsibility if you breach, or are aware of any breaches of this Code of Conduct
  11. Do not use your involvement with Point Cook Tennis Club Inc to promote your own beliefs, behaviours or practices where these are inconsistent with those of Tennis Australia and the Member Associations
  12. Avoid unaccompanied and unobserved activities with persons under 18 years of age, wherever possible
  13. Refrain from any form of abuse towards others
  14. Refrain from any form of harassment towards, or discrimination of others
  15. Provide a safe environment for the conduct of the activity
  16. Show concern and caution towards others who may be sick or injured
  17. Be a positive role model
