Night Tennis Competitions

Night Competition is known for being a relaxed and fun, in house club competition for players of all ages and standards. 

  • All our comps are in house and played at Mornington Tennis Centre each week
  • The bar is open for post match social drink
  • Members and non-members welcome

Can't play every week? We are always looking for people to join our emergency list. Let us know if you want to go on our emergency list and if there is a player who cant play a particular week we will ask you if you'd like to fill in.

UTR Verified Comps - all our night tennis comps are UTR verified, all results will count towards players UTR rating.

Start time for comps is 7:30pm, except Thursdays where the start time is 8 pm. Fees for all comps are $10 for members and $15 for non-members.

 

2024 SEASON 3 DATES

* The season will run for an 10 week season (following the school term)

* Tuesday Night Competition is the exception to the end time, and will complete  by the end of the year. 

First Round of the Season The week of 15th July
Last Round of the Season The week of 16th September

 


NIGHT COMPETITIONS FORMATS

Monday  Doubles 2 players per team Co-ed 1 x doubles match per night   Best of 2 sets with a 10 point match tiebreak  
Monday Singles  Single Player (1) Co-ed 1x singles match per player, per night   Best of 2 sets with a 10 point match tiebreak  
Tuesday  Singles & Doubles (men's) 3 players per team Men's  1 x singles & 1 x doubles per player, per night   One set - first to 6 games  
Wednesday Singles  Single Player (1) Co-ed 1x singles match per player, per night   Best of 2 sets with a 10 point match tiebreak  
Wednesday Ladies Mid-Week Doubles 2 players per team Ladies 1 x doubles match per player, per night   Best of 2 sets with 10 point match tiebreak  
Thursday Singles  Single Player (1) Co-ed 1 x singles match per player, per night   Best of 2 sets with 10 point match tiebreak  
Thursday Doubles 2 players per team Co-ed 1 x doubles match per player, per night   Best of 3 full sets
