Lake Cathie Tennis Club

Overview

We are a small tennis club with 150+ members using two synthetic courts. In 2016 both courts were replaced with modern synthetic grass & we have lighting for night play.

Our courts are situated just one block from the ocean, so if you enjoy breathing fresh salt air while getting fit and having fun, then perhaps this club is worth joining

Currently our club does not play inter-town competitions. We are focussed on social tennis with varying levels of capability. We want to put the “fun” back into playing tennis.

Our “social comp” days & nights are social tennis events, have different levels of play for you to choose from beginner thru intermediate to advance and you are welcome to come along and play.

If you like us, we would be happy to have you and your family as members.

We are an inclusive club & support people with special needs - if you require any special requirements for playing tennis we just ask you to communicate with the Committee your requirements so we can ensure an enjoyable experience for all.

Membership to the club provides access to our member only facilities, such as our renovated clubhouse with shower, toilet, fully functional kitchen and LPG BBQ, and the use of the automated ball machine (*training required to use).

We are associated with Tennis NSW & Tennis Australia.

We tend to play in groups that are named after the day of the week (such as the Monday/ Tuesday / Wednesday Ladies, Mixed Friday & Saturday Morning Groups). After play you can enjoy the Club facilities for a cuppa or many times we head to Caramels Cafe for a coffee & chat.

At the end of each year the club sponsors a Members social tennis and Christmas party. Also some of the playing groups conduct their own end of the year social outings.
