Kwinana Tennis Club was established in 1954 and has a long and proud history.
The patron of the club is the Honourable Roger Cook MLA, the WA Deputy Premier and Minister for Health and Mental Health, and a Kwinana local.
The club currently consists of 8 blue/green hard courts, an extended clubhouse and a hit-up wall. Night tennis is available, with six of the courts equipped with floodlights that are used for competition, coaching and social tennis weekly. Coffee, tea and cooldrinks are available for purchase from the clubhouse.
We are a growing club – especially in terms of juniors. We are affiliated with Tennis West, and currently have 5 junior teams playing pennants, as well as a ladies’ team and 2 men’s teams that play inter-club fixtures regularly.
Social tennis is a weekly highlight, with Monday nights and Thursday mornings filling several courts with friendly mixed doubles. Non-member visitors are always welcome to join in. If you are a strong player looking for some competitive singles, please get in touch and we can arrange something.
We have recently implemented an online booking system that provides a PIN code with which to access the courts, and also switches on the lights automatically for evening games. Non-members can conveniently book their court and pay online.
The club boasts an extremely popular resident tennis coaching program run by head coach Derek Noble of Smash Tennis Academy. Coaching is available weekdays after school and into the evening for kids and adults of all ages, for group or private lessons.
We also have social events throughout the year that all players are welcome to attend, as well as an annual open day. Members are notified, and details are posted on our Facebook page.
