Hot Shots Match Play & the Territory Junior League

Tennis is more than just attending a coaching lesson. Competition and match play are a vital part of the sport and a player’s development.

Competition and match play is not all about winning. It is an opportunity for players to practice what they have learned and grow confidence on the court. It provides players with a chance to learn values which are important for life both on and off the tennis court. Regardless of whether players win or lose, they will always learn.

Hot Shots Match Play is a great place to start a player’s competitive tennis pathway. Matches are played with the right equipment and court size for players to play at their ability level.

As players progress along the pathway, they will move to larger courts and eventually to a full-sized tennis court.

The Territory Junior League is a team-based competitive league played in the Darwin and Palmerston region between players representing their home clubs.

The Territory Junior League is the next step along the pathway for players nearing the end of the Hot Shots Match Play journey.

We are always looking for new players so speak to your coach about joining a team or list of fill-in players if you aren’t available every week.
