The Coburg Tennis Club is proud to be participating in the Sport4All program and working with Penelope - Sport4All program Coordinator and Inclusion Officer for Moreland, with the aim to continue learning, improving and growing in the Inclusion and Accessibility Space.

Playing sport is not a privilege but a right for every Australian,  including the 4.5 million people or 20% of the Australian population with either a physical or cognitive disability and, like most Australians, love sport and being involved in the community through sport.

Sport4All has identified the significant gap in the understanding and capability of sporting clubs and schools to include people with disability effectively in sport not because they don’t want to, but they don’t always know how to.

Sport4All is an inclusive Sporting Program that assists Sports clubs and Schools to be more accessible and inclusive, and enable people with disability to have choice and control over where and how they would like to participate in sport. This program was designed by Get Skilled Access, founded by Dylan Alcott and is funded by the Australian Government. It is also supported by the AFL, Tennis Australia, Table Tennis Australia, Golf Australia, Paralympics Australia, Special Olympics, Blind Sports Australia, Deaf Sports Australia and ACHPER.
