History of The Tennis Club

  • The Belmont Park Tennis Club was the second Club in the district to be formed in 1937 and was originally built behind the old Belmont Council buildings on Great Eastern Highway
  • In 1965, the Club moved towards the highway position on the river side, as they needed additional courts.
  • In 1975, the present building and courts were constructed on the present site 351-353 Robinson Ave, Cloverdale.
  • In 2018, the club had a refurbishment of the kitchen and bar areas as well as resurfacing of two of the hard courts.
  • In 2020, the club welcomed croquet by allocating them 2 lawn courts..
