Competition Tennis
The club offers junior and adult competition tennis against teams from other clubs all year round, and we're always on the look-out for more players including fill-ins.
In summer our junior and adult teams play in Glenelg Districts Tennis Association (gdta.net.au) administered competitions. Junior matches are played on Saturday mornings, while adult matches are played on Saturday afternoons. Note that most adult teams play in the combined Glenelg and Western District competitions. Summer seasons run from early October through to March with a break over the Christmas and January school holiday period.
In winter our junior teams play in Glenelg Districts Tennis Association administered competitions with matches also played on Saturday mornings. Adult teams compete in the Tennis SA Winter Pennant competitions on Saturday afternoons. The winter seasons usually run from early May through to late August/early September. (Note that in winter competitions, home matches for junior and adult teams will be played at alternate courts due to our shared tenancy with the Glengowrie United Netball Club.)
