Whats On

NETLeague Tennis - 2026

The inter-club NETLeague season is scheduled to commence in late February. NETLeague continues to grow as an affordable community-driven competition.

At this stage, NETLeague 2026 will continue to offer three senior divisions — A, B and C Grade — with home/away matches planned for Saturday afternoons, similar to last year. There is also the potential to introduce some Saturday morning play for C Grade (doubles only, club social level), should there be enough demand.

Your club’s participation adds greatly to the spirit of the league, and it would be wonderful to have Alstonville teams back again in 2026. Last year, we had two teams in the competition, one of which was runner-up and the other was placed third in their division.

NETLeague Divisions & Player Entry fees:

Divisions A, B and C: A $50 (per person) once-off season fee which consists of a minimum of 12 weeks of potential play over the 1st semester, before finals (2 extra weeks for the top 4 teams in each division).

Teams: Players must be Club members.

A & B Grade NETLeague divisions are team-based inter-club competitions played on Saturday afternoons (default start 2-3pm unless captains agree otherwise). Each tie consists of two singles matches and one doubles match (2 classic sets with a super tie-breaker at 1 all).

Teams typically consist of 2–4 active players on the day, with a minimum of two players required (they would have to play both singles and doubles). Fixtures run in a home-and-away format across the season, with ladders determining finals qualification. The top four teams progress to semi-finals, followed by grand finals hosted centrally.

Recommended UTR ranges:

A grade - 7+; B grade - 4 to 7

C Grade is designed as an inclusive, entry-to-intermediate level inter-club competition, welcoming developing players and those new to league tennis while still offering meaningful match play. Matches are scheduled primarily on Saturday mornings with a doubles only round robin format (3 sets pp). There is no UTR requirement as this is an all inclusive division.

Commencing date:

The league is aiming to start on the 21st of February or the following week running over the whole semester (excluding 2-3 weeks over Easter) with finals finishing late June before the mid year holidays. 12 weeks of season play with two additional weeks of finals (Grand final venue yet to be determined)
