Many thanks to those club members who helped with the Working Bee on Sunday the 17th of August. Got stacks of work done including big clean up of courts 5 & 6, rewired the south western fence on courts 1 & 2, cleaned out the shed and the clubhouse, cleaned and groomed all the courts and made sure the drainage hole on courts 3 & 4 was in good order amongst other things. BUT we have more to do in the future.
The workers were: Sandy Farrell, Vicki Barber, Bernie Keating, Sue Chancellor, Peter Muffet, Kel Arthur, John Hart, Pek Woods, Denise Channon, Greg Wiley, Angie Allen and Wayne and Deb Metcalf and yours truly.
We have had our first Spring Competition grading hit-up and practice. The next hit-up is Monday the 25th of August at 6pm. We had a good roll up last week. The comp proper to starts on Monday the 1st of September at 6pm.
Make the time to get yourself registered and pay up please. You can do this online, in cash or by bank transfer to our Bendigo Bank account.

The Annual General Meeting has been held and the office holders have remained much the same. Rick Farrell - President; Peter Gordon - Vice President; Nicole Gordon - Tresurer; Committee Persons - Frank Davey, Vicki Barber, Cato Bailey and Bernie Keating. The Secretary position is vacant as there were no nominations for the position.
Sandy Farrell will be available to consult with anyone who would like to put their hand up for the Secretary role. If you have wanted to learn a role like this for your Resume it would be a good place to start.
On Monday and Thursday mornings our SOCIAL TENNIS happens all year round - anywhere between 9am to 11am. All level of players are welcome and we encourage beginners to come and have a go and maybe learn some of the bad habits the regulars have picked!
Come and join us for some fun.
