Small Court Tennis
Modified tennis that everyone can play!
Experience all the physical mental and social benefits of tennis but on a smaller court using modified equipment.
Balls bounce slower and lower giving you plenty of time to hit a shot and engage in exciting rallies. Racquets are shorter making them lighter and more maneuverable and the net is lower meaning more balls stay in play.
The court is half size of the usual full court meaning that you don’t need to be as mobile or as fit as you used to be, but you can still use your hand-eye coordination and craftiness to bedazzle your opponents.
The ball is served using an underarm motion – making it easier to get the point going and more friendly on the shoulders.
Small Court Tennis is designed for total beginners through to experienced tennis player who are finding the full court game a bit hard these days.
Small Court Tennis is run on Thursdays from 8:00am. All equipment is provided. Cost is $4 per person per session and regular participants need to join the club, but feel free to come along and try it out first.
