Child Protection Officer
It is with great pleasure that we can now announce to everyone our first Child Protection Officer in Eamon Jennings. One of Yallambie’s very own, Eamon has a passion for safety and wants to extend that passion to the Yallambie Tennis Club community.
Eamon says ‘I have young kids who are currently moving into junior sport so I have a vested interest in child safety. I was an avid junior tennis player in the 80’s and 90’s, it goes without saying I’ve seen the best and unfortunately the worst in junior tennis, another motivation to perform the role’.
Eamon will not be alone in this role as he has the full backing of the committee and together, we are committed to driving an ongoing safe environment at our club. We all thank Eamon for his application and welcome him to the role.
Cardio Tennis
It is with delight that we continue to broaden our offering of services to the community by adding Cardio Tennis to the fold. We understand that there is a need to provide this as some people just want to play social tennis for fitness hence the creation of this program. We also understand that some people live week to week and do not know their schedule which is why Cardio Tennis is available as an ad hoc service, meaning you can just sign up one at a time without locking yourself in to a term. We are currently offering Monday nights 7pm – 8pm with Coach Frey and Wednesday nights 7pm – 8pm with Coach Brandon. Places are limited to 6 each session so if you are keen then please don’t hesitate to join by clicking here.

Benefits of Cardio Tennis:
• Available to any ability and any age
• Book one at a time
• Discounts are offered to members
• Non members can also participate
• Great opportunity to improve your fitness while having fun on a tennis court
If there is a day and time which you would like to propose, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us on ytccommittee@gmail.com as we hope this is just the beginning of many more opportunities for our community.
Club Day 3 Results
Whilst Club Day 3 was all the way back in July, we wanted to make sure we provided everyone else plenty of time to complete the quiz if you were unable to make the movie night. Those that made the movie night received an extra free point towards their quiz score! and the results are in! Please check the attachment.
Congratulations to all of our participants for the Club Day 3 Quiz, and we will soon have details regarding the judging for the colouring competition for Club Day 4.
Cheers,
Iain Hebden
