STATE FOUNDATION CUP

What a week of tennis………Tennis SA together with the Berri Tennis Club hosted 4 days of tennis with some 180+ junior players from 6 regions across the state in approx 2,500+ games in near perfect conditions!

WTC Juniors Angelos, Sarah, Indy and Tas all had a great week playing in both the teams event in their River Murray age group team and the individual singles event all while bunking with their team mates at the Berri Caravan Park. We saw them grow in their tennis skills and knowledge of the game, their confidence and belief in themselves and their team mates, show great sportsmanship out on court, have a lot of fun and catch up with and make new friends from all over the state.

A big congratulations to Indy who has booked herself a trip to the Gold Coast in December as a member of the SA Regional u12 team after coming Runner up in her individual event. Well done also to River Murray team members who will also be heading to the Gold Coast-Will and Ashton who will join Indy in the u12 team, Tom and Seb u14’s and Heidi u16’s

Thanks to Tennis SA, River Murray Coaches-John & Georgia, River Murray co-ordinator-Andrew, Team Managers, friends and family for their support behind the kids and the volunteers of the Berri Tennis Club who make such an event possible for regional junior sport to take place just up the road from home
