The Riverland junior teams hit off at 9am in overcast, muggy, but near perfect conditions for tennis!
12 courts at Waikerie in action which saw 14 teams from across the Riverland compete.
The tennis was great to watch across all 7 grades with a lot of spectators and cheering from the many friends and family who came along to support from the sidelines.
Well done to all teams and those who took home a premiership medallion.
The Senior finals hit off at 1.30pm across 8 courts, a few sets in and the wind started to pick up and with it came the rain!
Eventually all senior games were abandoned due to the rain, which set in for the afternoon!
As a club we were excited to have the opportunity and to showcase just what our small tennis club could do! We had a great morning of tennis with the juniors, but unfortunately Mother Nature cut short the afternoons matches which had to be abandoned due to the rain.
It would be remiss of me to mention names incase I accidentally missed anyone, but you know who you are
