2024 February Members Update

Welcome to Vic Park Tennis Club for the year 2024. At our Annual General Meeting last week a new committee was elected:

Engaging our New Members
The big story from the AGM is that the Club is experiencing an upturn in membership! You will see more new faces around the place. Our big priority for the year will be reaching out to all of you so that we ensure we the activities you need to make the most of your club membership.
Feedback on our new Website
Members were happy to:
- Continue with the new online membership payment system
- And the online Book a Court facility (remembering non-members cannot book\ you don’t need to renew permanent group bookings \ and you can still just turn up and play if nobody is using the courts.
Help with 2 new initiatives
Committee has been discussing two new initiatives which we would really like your help with.
1. Weekend Family Tennis. Parents with young families are noticeable among our new member growth. We are looking to organise an initial meeting to explore possibilities.
2. Night Tennis with the new LED. We have engaged our installer and the new lights will come on over the next couple of months. While we already have some social tennis and a competition team, there will be a lot of scope for members to get together for a regular hit. We would really like to bring members together and facilitate a small group or two.
