There are various Seniors/Masters tennis tournaments taking place annually on local, regional, State and National levels.  The events are typically divided into age groups starting from 30+ and involve both round-robin and knock-out type matches.

ACT Competitive and Social Playing Opportunities

ACT Adult Leagues

Tennis ACT runs a number of adult inter-club competitions that un throughout the year for players at all levels.  Current adult leagues include:

🎾   Monday/Tuesday Night – Minimum 3 Player teams. Each player will play 1 tie-break set of singles against their opposite number in the opposing team and 2 tiebreak sets of doubles (one with each of their partners). Matches start at 7:30 pm

🎾  Thursday Night Mixed – Minimum 4 Player teams. Each player will play 2 tie-break sets against the opposing pair of the same gender, & 1 tie-break set of mixed doubles against each of the opposing pairs. Matches start at 7:30 pm

🎾  Saturday Afternoon – Minimum 2 Player teams. Each player will play 1 singles match & 1 doubles match. The format for both singles and doubles is 2 tie-break sets with a 10-point tie-break if the score reaches 1 set all. Matches start at 1:30 pm.

Women's Competitions

Tennis ACT also offers two Women Only Tennis Leagues throughout the year.  

Women's Midweek League (Tuesday's 9:30am-1pm approx).  This league gives women the opportunity to play compeitive doubles tennis during the day.  Players can participate weekly or when their schedule allows. A fun concertina ladder format is used to pair participants with others of similar skill levels. 

Women's Tennis League (Wednesday evenings)  This league provides women with the opportunity to play in a Women's Only League at the Canberra Tennis Centre.  You can choose to play weekly or when you can! Two exciting pathways are offered:

🎾 Social (7:30pm start): For those looking for a fun and relaxed way to play tennis, meet others and stay active.

🎾 Compete (6:30pm start): Designed for women who want a more structured and competitive experience.

Social Tennis
