Tennis NT Club Updates - October 2025

Tennis NT AGM & Awards Night

Thank you all for your attendance at the Tennis NT AGM and Awards Night on Saturday October 18th. It is always great to catch up with everyone in a way that is both productive and allows us to enjoy each other’s company and success.

Congratulations to all award recipients on the night, it is a testament to the hard work put in across the NT this year.

Tennis NT have also put up several award winners from here in NT for the ‘Newcombe Awards’; Tennis Australia’s awards night which recognises the very best across all awards categories in Australia. We will be informed in due course if any of your nominations are shortlisted for the Newcombe Awards.

See Tennis NT Facebook for a breakdown of award winners and photos on the night. A jolly time was had by all!

Child Safety and Integrity

How are you recording Ochre Cards?

Following on from discussions in the AGM, it is critical that you are keeping an active register of your working with children’s check.

Please ensure that you are using a register, as it is a requirement that ALL people involved at Tennis Clubs have an up to date ochre card. Active qualified coaches also require a police check which you need to record as well.

See attached example of an Ochre Card and Police Check register you can use. We will follow up on this with you over the coming weeks:

Child Safety Fence Banners and signs

  • Tennis Australia have established an online shop for fence banners. See the following website for access to the online shop: Tennis Australia Portal
  • See below examples below of the child safety fence banners that are available for purchase. Court hire, Hot Shots and Cardio Tennis banners are also available. Note that a bounce account is required to access the portal and purchase banners.
  • We are also looking into updating the child safety signage which was given to each club some time ago – we will update you on those soon. Note that the signs are different to the fence banners available for purchase below.
