Tennis NT AGM & Awards Night – SAVE THE DATE 18th October 2025

The date to save for Tennis NT’s annual AGM and Awards Night is Saturday 18th October 2025. Some are aware that this date has changed, which we needed to accommodate due to tournament clashes. An official Notice of AGM will be sent closer to the date but please take this date as confirmed.

Awards Night Award 2025 Nomination Process

Keep an eye out in mid-August for awards night 2025 nominations opening. We hope to accept nominations for the following awards:

Awards as nominated by the Tennis NT community (any person in the NT tennis community can nominate someone)

• Volunteer of the Year 
• Excellence in Officiating
• Excellence in Coaching – Club (an individual winner, NOT a club)
• Most Outstanding Tournament

Awards as nominated by NT Schools (Schools nominate themselves)

• Most outstanding school

Awards nominated by NT clubs (club committees, presidents, operators etc. Can nominate) 

• Club of the year
• Club Person of the year (each club nominates 1 person from their club)

Internal/closed nominations

• Austin Asche Award
• Male and Female athlete of the year (no perpetual award)
• Special service award if applicable
• Ballkid of the year

Other

• Coach recognition
• Community appreciation board  

Integrity

How are you recording Ochre Cards?

We are all responsible for ensuring our sport is safe and welcoming. It is critical that you are keeping an active record of your working with children’s check. If you are currently keeping a record of your ochre cards, please let Ben know. If you aren’t sure how to keep a record of your ochre cards, please also let Ben know.

Educational Signage

• Tennis Australia has provided us some excellent educational signage promoting good behaviour around tennis clubs, please see the attached files and contact Ben if you would like these printed for your club.

Tennis NT Professional Tournament Volunteering Opportunities

The Tennis NT ‘Pro Tour Swing’ will take place between Monday 29th of September – Sunday 12th of October. For anyone looking for opportunities to be involved in any capacity, please email tennisnt@tennis.com.au

Clubspark

NT Clubspark training is happening TONIGHT from 7:30-8:30pm. This will be around the booking module upgrades, with basic questions to be taken at the end of the session (time permitting). Session will also be recorded for us to look back on.

Local Area Marketing

Tennis NT are running Facebook ads to get more club leads – help by providing us photos so we can make the ads look like the NT. Email Ben with your photos.

Re-affiliation

Look out for the re-affiliation process from Ben over the next month. The current affiliation year ends 30th Sept.
