Junior Coaching Programs

Tennis Australia's Hot Shots program provides an enjoyable opportunity for children to learn and play tennis in a supportive environment. Led by Tennis Australia qualified coaches, the program helps students build confidence, develop their sporting skills, and form new friendships. Each Stage provides the appropriate equipment and court size to play tennis at their ability and interest.

Stage 1: Age 4 - 5+
🎾 Exploring the building blocks of movement.
🎾 Fun, imagination, creativity, play-based.
🎾 Values: listening, cooperation, communication.

Stage 2: Age 5 - 8+
🎾 Introducing and developing tennis specific skills, basic strategies and the rally.
🎾 Fun, friends, game-based.
🎾 Values: fair play, persistence, working well with others.

Stage 3: Age 8 - 10+
🎾 Progressing and extending tennis specific skills, strategies and matchplay.
🎾 Fun, friends, game-based.
🎾 Values: resilience, respectful relationships.

Stage 4: Age 10+
🎾 Extending and refining tennis specific skills and strategies, problem-solving, analyzing.
🎾 Fun, friends, game-based.
🎾 Values: leadership, resilience, empathy, sensitivity.

 

What students need to bring to each lesson:

🎾 racquet (we have racquets students can borrow for the lesson).

🎾 comfortable runners and sports clothes.

🎾 hat and sunscreen.

🎾 water bottle.

Years 7-12

SEMESTER 1 (TERMS 1 AND 2): 16 weeks (8 lessons per term) starting Monday 2nd February 2026

 

PROGRAM OPTIONS & COSTS:

The cost of the programs are as follows, irrespective of attendance.

CONDITIONS:

  1. Students with lessons at lunchtime are asked to bring a cut lunch on their lesson day.
  2. In case of inclement weather, lessons will be conducted in the School gymnasium (when available).
  3. If lessons fall on a Public Holiday or Curriculum Day, the lessons will be carried over to the end of that school term to ensure that all 16 lessons are conducted in the semester.
  4. To secure your child’s spot in a particular lesson for the semester, please use the online booking and payment system below.
  5. Lessons may only be discontinued at the end of a semester.
