CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024

Members can participate in any of the following events.

Depending on the number of entries the events will be run in Division’s 1 & 2

  • Singles, Men’s or Ladies Doubles & Mixed Doubles in your current grading. You can choose your own partner or grading committee will try and find a partner for individual entries
  • Special Men’s or Ladies Doubles & Mixed Doubles. Only individual entries are taken, and the players are paired with the top-rated player partnering the lowest rated player, then working inwards to pair the other combinations.
  • Senior/Junior. This is an opportunity for the juniors to play up to 3 sets of tennis per match with a senior member. Family or friend combinations can be played, or individual entries will be matched to even out the combinations. NOTE: The junior age is 16 and under at the start of the Club Championships.

Costs are $2 per adult per competition to register with $2 to be paid per match played and $1 per junior per competition to register with $1 to be paid per match played. Fees will be payable at game time.

TIME FRAME

  • Starts on Saturday 28th September 2024
  • All entries to be received prior to 5.00pm Thursday 26th September
  • Club Championships will be played over the following weekends until all matches are played (excluding the long weekend).
  • Please state on form/email any anticipated absences.

AVAILABILITY

  • Any player not reporting within 15 minutes of the time specified by the draw, shall be forfeited from the event, with no refund of entry fees
  • One week will be allowed for injury/illness. The players are responsible to reschedule the match
  • Any player who cancels/ defers their match is required to re-schedule the match prior to the next scheduled round- otherwise they will forfeit
  • The Grading Committee needs one-week notice if you are unable to play on the following weekend. Please fill out unavailability sheet in clubhouse the previous weekend before noon of that Sunday

MATCHES

Senior matches will be the best of three (3) 5 all tie-break sets

A copy of the weekend draws will be posted on the clubhouse front door glass panel at the beginning of each week
