Dear Members and Visitors,

I am delighted to extend a welcome back to tennis to all our members and guests. Our club holds a special place in the hearts of tennis enthusiasts in the community.  

St Monica’s Tennis Club boasts an impressive history, and we take immense pride in our strong sense of community, commitment to junior development, and participation in competition. With 3 courts we provide a quality environment for tennis lovers of all ages and strive to be a welcoming environment for everyone.

In January our very own Junior players Grace Boyle and Grace Kulyk were ball girls at the Australian Open.  Congratulations to you both and we hope that it was an enjoyable experience for you both!

Throughout the week, our courts buzz with activity.  The school, coaching classes, night and junior competitions utilise our courts. As a club, we work closely with the school and Tennis Victoria, to ensure a quality tennis experience.

The club’s financial health is robust, allowing us to engage in discussions about club improvements, your continued support as members toward competition and coaching fundamental to this ambition.

The events Calander is building quickly and includes a Junior Open Day, Club Championships, Trivia Night and a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser.   All are great opportunities to interact with the tennis community.  Please get involved!

We will also soon announce a Working Bee day to complete ongoing maintenance requirements around the club.

Our junior development program is very popular the team at Australian Alpha Tennis Academy seeing consistent growth in enrolments. Our next junior coaching open day scheduled for the 3rd March.  Our night competitions are popular, if you are interested in starting a team please reach out.

Trivia Night at the Symons Centre!

Save the Date: 13th April 2024, starting at 7:00 PM

Where: Symons Centre - St Monica's Parish Centre (Address: 824 Mt Alexander Rd)

Cost :  $20 per player     - Payment prior to the event.  Details to be supplied by return email on confirmation of booking.  Limited space available tables will sell out quickly.

BYO :  Food and Drinks

(Preference for you to book a table of 8 as a Table Captain) 

Why: Because it’s been 5 years since our last social gathering, and we’re ready to reconnect!

Join us for an evening of brain-teasing fun, camaraderie, and a chance to catch up with fellow club members. Our Trivia Night promises more than just fundraising—it’s an opportunity to test your knowledge, laugh, and create lasting memories.

Important Note for Parents: While we’ve welcomed children of all ages in the past, we’ve learned that keeping them entertained for a full 4 hours can be quite the challenge while the trivia is on! So this time, we kindly request that rather than the club setting an age limit, that any child attending should be seated at your table and actively able to participate in the trivia.
