AGM 1pm Saturday 3rd August at the Clubhouse

Hello and welcome to all tennis players!

Springwood Tennis Club has achieved some major infrastructure works over the last couple of years. Grants were sought to add an accessible bathroom to the clubhouse (completed), update our existing court lighting to sustainable LED’s (completed) and create two hardcourts on Courts 5 and 6 (completion October 2024). Hard work and extra time by the committee and club members have made this happen. The new hardcourts and lighting will assist with the introduction of Pickleball for both day and evening play and for wheelchair tennis.

There are no more large projects on the horizon for the club. However, there is, and always will be, ongoing maintenance of the courts and the facilities which is the responsibility of the management committee.

Some members on the current committee have been doing this work for many years so there is a need to share the workload among more members. We may be able to reduce committee meetings to every two months and/or to have some virtual meetings.

STC is asking you to attend the AGM and share your ideas for improving our Club.

The Club has been in operation for just over 100 years and is a significant asset of the Blue Mountains and its community. A centre and Club such as this is not possible without the hard work and dedication of its volunteers and committee members.
