Ringwood Round Robin Victorian Seniors Tournament – July 2025 Recap
On Sunday, July 20th, Ringwood Central Tennis Club hosted the latest Victorian Seniors Sunday Tournament, welcoming players from across Melbourne for an afternoon of friendly yet competitive doubles tennis.
This popular event featured a round robin doubles format, with players rotating partners and opponents across the afternoon in a fun and social setting.
The structure encouraged great teamwork, with everyone playing both with and against each other.
Prizes were awarded to the winner of each court across the six courts, recognising players for their consistency and teamwork during the event.
The friendly rivalry added a great spark to the day and each court’s results were met with supportive cheers from fellow players.
After matches concluded, everyone gathered in the clubhouse to enjoy tea, coffee and a generous afternoon tea spread provided by Ringwood Central Tennis Club. From sweet treats to savoury bites, the food was a highlight of the day.
The event wrapped up with plenty of friendly conversation and connection among players from clubs all around Melbourne.
It was a fantastic day of sport, community, and connection, everything these Sunday Tournaments aim to be.
Congratulations to two of our own Ringwood Central members who were court winners:
- Chris Fallon
- Jamiel Morgan
A big thank you to everyone who helped on the day, especially those who prepared and served the afternoon tea. Your efforts were truly appreciated.
