Alvin Gardiner

In 1977 Alvin played John McEnroe in the first round of the French Open. At a media conference McEnroe was asked if he knew anything about his first round opponent. McEnroe responded with ' He's an Aussie Journeyman'. This became the title of Alvins book 'Aussie Journeyman': Memoir of a Touring Tennis Professional

Alvin was born in Tara & attended Harristown High School and was recently inducted into the schools Hall of fame.

- Ranked 90 in the world ( Dec. 1978)

- Frequent player of Wimbledon, French, US & Australian Opens

- Ranked #1 in the world in the Over 35's

- Based at Newport Beach Tennis Club, California for 20 years.

Dean Ashton

Dean is from Melbourne and has taught at many of Melbournes high profile  clubs and competed at the elite level:

- Held a junior ranking of #3 in Victoria & #8 Nationally

- Played Victorian State Grade Pennant

- Played professional German Club Tennis at Rot Wiess Remscheid

- Head coach at South Hawthorn, Geelong & Glenvale Tennis Clubs in Melbourne

- Head coach at Rot Wiess Remsscheid, Germany
