Restrictions for Metropolitan Melbourne now extend across the state with regional Victoria going in to lock down from 1pm today. The statewide restrictions for Victoria now are:

All tennis venues across Victoria must close. All outdoor playgrounds and recreation spaces are also closed.

There are only 5 reasons to leave your home during this lock down period:

• to get food and supplies
• caregiving and compassionate reasons
• exercise for up to two hours within 5kms of your home
• permitted work or education
• to get the vaccine
