Play Well Tennis’ mission is to inspire people to play, compete and be involved in tennis. Participating in sport has many benefits, including improving/maintaining physical health, developing social connections, providing a sense of achievement, contributing to a sense of identity and community, and helping manage stress.
At Play Well Tennis, we aim to foster these benefits through our adult coaching programs, which comprise:
- Beginner/Early Intermediate Tennis class
- Private lessons
BEGINNER/EARLY INTERMEDIATE TENNIS CLASS
This class is designed for those that are in the early stages of learning the sport. It focusses on teaching the fundamentals of the game, from the rules, names of the lines, how to score, through to how to hold the racquet, the different types of shots and how to perform them with consistency and accuracy.
- Maximum class size of 8 students.
- No experience required.
- Term 4 commences the week starting Monday 6 October and runs for 9 weeks*.

Wet weather policy
If a lesson is cancelled due to rain, your account will be credited. We can refund the lesson if you prefer. A lesson is considered cancelled if less than half the lesson is completed. If possible, Play Well Tennis will send a text message to your nominated mobile number advising you a lesson is cancelled ahead of time.
What to bring to a lesson
- Racquet – If you don’t have one, no worries, we can provide one
- Runners and comfortable sports clothes
- Hat and sunscreen
- Water bottle
