The 2023 PTA Championships was a huge success. Thanks to the 120 kids participating for the Junior PTA Champion across 8 divisions. 

Players were divided into 8 sections of 16. Each player was ranked based on their UTR and matched up in pools of 4 to play 3 round robin matches on Saturday. The winner of each pool competed in a semi final on Sunday and then the winner of each semi in a Grand Final.  

It was great to see fantastic sportsmanship on display. For many it was their first tournament and there were some challenges to overcome and learning opportunites for all. Tennis is a great sport for building resiliance in individuals.

A huge Thank You to our host club Frankston Centenary TC and Steve Foot and the Better tennis team for all their help in ensuring the day ran smoothly. Thanks to Langwarrin TC for helping out with the additional courts. 

Thanks to all the volunteers across the event who helped with Court supervision, on the Tournamanet desk and with all the pre planning. Without you these events just don't happen!
