Court Maintenance Update
Mon, 13 Oct 2025 00:00
The rolling of courts 1–4 has now been completed. Courts 1 and 2 are now good to play competition with courts 3 and 4 to be light play only.
It is essential that the en tout cas courts be watered before, during and after play to maintain the quality and longevity of our surfaces. We ask all members to do their part in keeping our courts in top condition by following these watering guidelines:
- Before Play: If courts are dry they must be watered from fence to fence before commencing play. Water thoroughly so that moisture soaks through to the underlying surface, but avoid creating puddles. Direct the spray upwards so that water falls gently like rain—this prevents erosion of the surface material.
- During Play: Courts must be bagged and watered (if dry) at the end of each competition set. For Social Play, courts should be watered approximately every 30 to 45 minutes
- On completion of play: Courts must be bagged and watered. In dry or dusty conditions, water the court before bagging to help settle the dust and reduce the loss of en tout cas.
If you notice players not watering, please remind them to do so. It is up to all of us to care for our courts so we can continue to enjoy them for years to come.
