We are very excited to announce that Pakenham Tennis Club is moving into Pakenham Regional Tennis Centre this October!

This is a positive move for the sport of tennis in Pakenham and surrounding areas, with the aim to increase local participation by offering a high quality of programs and services in a facility that will allow for future growth.

Pakenham Regional Tennis Centre has 18 lit courts, four of which have recently been resurfaced to support the move from plexicushion to an Australian-made synthetic grass. The facility also hosts a large multi-purpose function room, café, bar, and accessible change rooms.

Over the coming months a dedicated club room will be constructed on the premises to allow Pakenham Tennis Club to continue to provide a club environment, these are due for completion March 2022.

Pakenham Tennis Club and Aligned Leisure have been working together for some time, to ensure a smooth transition for all participants. Both parties agree that this move is for the betterment of the sport in our area and that the most important aspect is that a united approach to service and delivery within the centre is essential.

Our club can now focus on great things by collectively working towards improving the way we play and shape tennis in our community” stated Greg Menzel, Pakenham Tennis Club president.

“We are really looking forward to officially welcoming Pakenham Tennis Club into the centre to further connect with the community and work together to drive the sport in the local area. We hope that restrictions ease soon so we can get back to playing the sport we love and showcase the four newly renovated synthetic grass courts,” said Dean Jamieson, Head of Sports for Aligned Leisure.

Pakenham Tennis Club and Aligned Leisure will offer a full program of tennis activities including: 

• Junior & Senior competition and coaching 
• Mid-week ladies competition 
• Social competitions 
• Accessibility programs
